Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms govern the Celesthread web application operated by **to be confirmed before launch** ("Celesthread," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least **to be confirmed before launch** (proposed for counsel: 18; see `AGE_ELIGIBILITY_DECISION.md`). The Service is not directed to children. Matching/dating is **not** enabled in the friendship-first release (`matching_phase_enabled` off).

3. Accounts

Provide accurate email, password, and preferred name. Protect credentials. Optional TOTP MFA may apply to privileged accounts.

4. Birth-profile information

Western features use date of birth, optional birth time (or unknown), place label, latitude/longitude, and timezone. You must have rights to enter data about yourself. Third-party private profiles: Private Profile Policy.

5. Astrology & reflection

Content is for entertainment, reflection, self-exploration, conversation, and personal insight. Not medical, mental-health, legal, financial, emergency, or professional counseling advice. No guaranteed outcomes or certain future events. No assertions of infidelity, criminality, pregnancy, or mental illness as fact. See Astrology and Entertainment Disclaimer.

6. Calculations vs generated language

Chart math uses Celesthread deterministic engines (e.g. `stilltide-astro-1`). Narrative surfaces (Contour, Today, Prism, Tideglass) assemble modules/templates from signals. Audited Tideglass does **not** call a third-party LLM; `allowTraining` is forced false. Do not treat language as professionally verified unless stated.

7. Acceptable use

No harassment, unlawful scraping, spam invites, malware, impersonation, unlawful third-party birth data, publishing others' private reports without permission, or bypassing security/subscriptions.

8. People, messaging, community

Weave invites, threads, Prism, sparks, DMs, and Harbor posts are optional. Use block/report tools. We may suspend violators.

9. Private profiles

May include non-users' birth data under your lawful-confirm acknowledgement. Visibility and duties: Private Profile Policy.

10. Contacts & invitations

Opt-in selected-contact matching (capped). HMAC tokens stored—not bulk address books. No automatic contact messaging.

11. Location / Around You

Off by default. Approximate area only if enabled. No continuous background GPS in audited web app.

12. Future matching

If dating features launch, Future Matching Safety Addendum applies.

13. Subscriptions

Shore (free) / Depth (paid). Simulator billing may be active in development; live store billing requires configuration. See Subscription Terms.

14. Intellectual property

We own Service IP. Limited license to use. Feedback may be used freely. You grant a host/display license for content you submit as needed to operate features.

15. Third parties

Subprocessors in Subprocessor Register / List.

16. Termination & deletion

We may suspend for risk/violations. You may delete via Settings or `/account-deletion`. Retention exceptions: Account and Data Deletion Policy.

17. Disclaimers

SERVICE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
